Bring along: fully enclosed shoes with good grip, warm waterproof jacket, drink/water bottle, sunscreen, camera, swimming gear is optional in summer.
We provide: quality cruising aboard purpose built vessels, professional and experienced crew and tour guides, 1.5-2 hour fully guided tour of White Island's crater, lunch and refreshments, safety gear (gas mask and hard hat), permit to land on volcano and a permit to spend time with any marine life that we may encounter.
The tour is not well suited to young children and we have a recommended minimum age of 8 years. However, we do leave the decision up to the parents/guardians.
The tour on White Island is an eco-adventure and the island has been left mostly in its natural form without structured pathways. All passengers will need to be physically able to climb in and out of an inflatable boat, climb a short ladder and walk across some boulders. Passengers will be on their feet for up to two hours during the guided tour.
Tours operate every day (except Christmas Day) weather permitting. Our booking office is open 6.30am - 10pm every day. The price per person is $160. During the offpeak season (1st April - 30th November) we have a childs price of $110.
