Formerly a disused quarry, the park features walks, bush, ponds, spectacular views and beautiful gardens thanks to dedicated volunteers aiming at world class status, and is a place of special beauty. Te Puna Quarry Park is popular with visiting Garden Clubs, walking groups, school groups, and for outdoor weddings. Suitable for the moderately fit; good walking shoes required.

Suggested minimum visit - one hour, preferably two. Picnic lawns, shelters, toilets and car park.

The Quarry Park is open every day all day with the exception of a special event being held. The gates to the parking area are closed at dusk but there is still pedestrian access. Visiting the park is free, but the volunteers would appreciate your donation in the donation box near the entrance.
